This atmospheric black and white portrait features actor James Dean in his starring role for the film "Giant", 1955.

Giant was the last of James Dean's three films as a leading actor, and earned him his second and last Academy Award nomination - he was killed in a car crash before the film was released. Nick Adams was called in to do some voice dubbing for Dean's role.

About the Photographer

Frank Worth was a confidant and friend to many Hollywood stars during Hollywood's "Golden Age," when they were constrained by the powerful studio system. Due to these close relationships, Worth captured stars in elements and scenes not seen elsewhere. This is his famed collection.
